SCALING A REMOTE TEACHING BUSINESS

From scattered notes across Google Drive, Slack, Email and even phone calls, to managing a business that can scale and grow while its founder can can put his passion into their students and team. We brought it all into Notion and built a complete Business Hub to have it all one-click away.

This business had a lot in their plate (which doesn’t?), and they were all struggling to keep it going. Information was shared repeteadly across different channels (think email, Slack, Google files, etc).

No one really knew which one was the last updated one. Team wouldn’t know which goals they were working on, how they could best contribute to the business. CEO had no visibility on which tasks the team had open or if they had any bottlenecks. Every communication was managed via Slack, where information is quickly hard to find and unupdated.

Using Notion, we built a complete Business Hub. And when I say complete, I mean it. First, we draft the whole organization structure, how they would communicate with each other, which KPIs they were managing and which tasks were taking the most time from the team.

With this information, we started drafting the Notion Workspace structure.

With this information, we started drafting the Notion Workspace structure. This step is crucial and something I always do when creating Business Hubs in Notion (if you’ve ever downloaded a Notion template and felt like… arg, this tool doesn’t seem to fit me!, well, it’s because it wasn’t need according to YOUR needs).

Once we had a clear goal in mind, which databases we needed and how we had to relate them across the whole workspace, I started building.

The client loved the solution we built for them. It included templates for all of their repetitive tasks (SOPs, Newsletter Content, Meetings…) so any time they would need to create a new one, they had the information automatically pre-populated (imagine starting your weekly meeting with all blocked tasks, completed tasks or next steps already there!). Plus, we also introduced Notion AI and it was a major time-saver for marketing ideation, content strategies and even creating SOPs directly from recorded videos.

Here are some of the things we included:

Operations Hub
— OKRs
— Projects
— Tasks
— Meetings
— SOPs

People Hub
— Team
— Vendors and Contractors
— Interviews and Roles
— Clients and Leads, including a Pipeline

Marketing Hub
— Content Calendar
— Content Templates and Ideas
— Brand Assets

So, just imagine what this would mean to your business.
